Infrastructure executive responsible for all planning, operations, architecture, and support. Full accountability for the overall strategy of technology acquisition and integration required to support the administration, product development and product delivery. Consolidate data centers, introduce technology to support multiple locations nationwide. Responsibility for leading and defining the corporate technology strategy to align with the strategic business plan. Defining the road maps, building the technology team (engineers, programmers, support, operations) designing the technology, facilities, infrastructure, and overseeing the execution / implementation of the plan for increased growth. Executed IT consolidation efforts – technology, facilities, human resources, and assets. Introduced IT standards, help desk and staff development to the organization. Led the organization through a series of upgrades, and technology conversions to capitalize on emerging technologies and application enhancements, including the replacement of obsolete systems in all company facilities with new LAN/WAN/VPN technology. Chief architect. Implemented a server and storage virtualization initiative to save the company $800k a year in hardware, licenses, floor space, and support costs. Developed and implemented an IT Security program that included a director, staff, technology, tools and policy(s) to ensure compliance, audit and regulatory requirements. UTM Technology key. Implemented multi-platform client/server technologies to lead the organization from proprietary and manual processes – a network centric topology.70312

Global CTO. In response to global business realignment, this new role reported to the Global CIO. Responsible for the creation and implementation of a global technology strategy for 60,000 employees across 150 countries. Managed 350 global FTE’s to implement a 400-office, high-availability Intranet and e-business services, while merging and web-enabling key applications (messaging, financial, database, workflow, etc) into consolidated data centers. Justified a $40M program to reduce expenses by $15M annually, improve productivity, and deliver 7×24 availability. Implemented a global shared services model to manage and support all desktops, WAN/LAN, data centers infrastructure components, and global applications. Reduced data centers from 50 to 10 locations. Re-engineered and standardized 1,000+ servers, global LAN/WAN & remote access into consolidated centers. Customized the Tivoli suite (Netview, SSO, ADSM, Deploy/Config/Inventory Manager, Event Correlation, Application monitors, Remote Control, etc.) to automate management of 100,000 objects. Selected and implemented hardware lease management program and global maintenance agreements.



CIO / CTO. Responsible for overseeing global EA, IT Strategy and Technology Management, managing a $90M+ P&L, oversight/management of direct reports/manager staff of 13, and indirect IT staff of 200+, focusing on Emerging Technologies, Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy & Implementation, and, all the variant sub-domains aligning IT with Business drivers, e.g., SOA, Business, Data, AppDev & SW architectures, and, infrastructure/data center, EA frameworks, processes, and, methodologies. Directed a major global corporate EA-Maturity Model and EA Program, a Security Planning & Architecture initiative, involved in security standards both within HP and industry standards bodies, an EA-SOA Envisioning Strategy initiative, a “next gen” data center, application simplification/consolidation effort, and, an enterprise wide BI/Data Management architecture review, assessing “current state” architecture environments and creating a roadmap to a “future state”, involving several corporate business domains, overseeing the prioritized (“heat map”) IT Project Portfolio and PMO. Former U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer, with a TS/SCI clearance, specializing in NAVOPINTEL, Security Management and MIS on a global scale.



CIO. Set overall IT strategy, monitored all program execution, managed daily production. Primary focus on business process improvement and product development within an entrepreneurial environment. Results from various process improvement initiatives have tallied to over $500,000 in annualized cost reductions. Strategic product development has lead to the creation of a $1M+ online service offering. Complete renovation of our business continuity plan has minimized corporate risk, driven new technology leverage, and provided longer hardware life cycles. Innovation using data center virtualization, deployment of a thin client platform, and improved telecommunications has lead to a greener environment, more flexible and rapid service delivery, and a more flexible corporate work environment. The implementation of an industry leading custom business application suite is auto-processing claims at a 93+% rate and is driving ongoing change throughout the firm.

Collaborated with executive team to author a 5-year, $34 million Strategic Information Systems Plan, and won Board approval. Renegotiated vendor contracts, saving the Hospital $4.75 million. Revived a legacy system replacement project that had been stalled for 2 years.  Successfully met business objectives and budget. Established and staffed a Project Management Office and established new governance structures for IT. Developed and implemented processes for tactical IT planning. Directed projects to establish a fully redundant infrastructure, helping the organization achieve and sustain 99.7% system uptime. Applied ITIL best practices to establish standards and guidelines for maintaining continuity of all computer systems. Served as an internal consultant to business and clinical leadership on information system needs, reinforcing the concept of information as a key organizational resource; provided feedback on IT operations to the management team while soliciting their input.



Managed a 150 person organization including IT business relationship partners, IT analysis and reporting, and the Project Management Office. Responsible for enabling enterprise and business unit strategies through a $100 mm annual application development budget . Partnered with Senior Business Executives, with particular focus on Underwriting and Distribution, to define and execute a $130 mm, 3 to 5 year business transformation initiative. Direct oversight of he business and technology implementation projects. Participated in the sale of multiple non-core business entities, leading the IT related negotiations and transition.



CTO. 18 years on the executive/senior management teams for two small, rapidly growing technology based firms. Member of the executive management team which drove revenue from $19M to $109M, providing a valuation well in excess of $1B to our stockholders. Primarily responsible for developing and managing the operating procedures, technology and people required to deliver quality products and services to our life science customer base during a period of rapid expansion. Implemented 1-4-8 protocol for responding to client / software calls. Program won CIO 100 Award for creative approach to delivering effective and timely customer service.



CIO / CTO; PhD; Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Over 20 years experience in information technology as a systems consultant and an industry executive achieving tangible improvements in product and team performance. 15 years experience in process improvement/optimization using Business Process Re-engineering, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, ISO900X, and CMMI. 15 years experience implementing and managing major Enterprise Resource Planning systems (SAP, Oracle, BPCS, PeopleSoft) including organizational change management.



CIO. MEE; MBA. Managed a 40+ person team across the U.S., Canada, Latin America to support $3 B Americas logistics and transportation business. Responsible for developing and executing IT strategy, providing daily support for key business systems and implementing custom-designed supply chain solutions. Reorganized IT group for stronger alignment with business objectives and direction. Reduced costs by 60% over four-year period. Consolidated disparate internal freight systems across Domestic and International freight divisions to streamline business operations and reduce costs by $2.5 M.
