Infrastructure executive responsible for all planning, operations, architecture, and support. Full accountability for the overall strategy of technology acquisition and integration required to support the administration, product development and product delivery. Consolidate data centers, introduce technology to support multiple locations nationwide. Responsibility for leading and defining the corporate technology strategy to align with the strategic business plan. Defining the road maps, building the technology team (engineers, programmers, support, operations) designing the technology, facilities, infrastructure, and overseeing the execution / implementation of the plan for increased growth. Global CTO. In response to global business realignment, this new role reported to the Global CIO. Responsible for the creation and implementation of a global technology strategy for 60,000 employees across 150 countries. Managed 350 global FTE’s to implement a 400-office, high-availability Intranet and e-business services, while merging and web-enabling key applications (messaging, financial, database, workflow, etc) into consolidated data centers. Justified a $40M program to reduce expenses by $15M annually, improve productivity, and deliver 7×24 availability. Implemented a global shared services model to manage and support all desktops, WAN/LAN, data centers infrastructure components, and global applications. Reduced data centers from 50 to 10 locations. Re-engineered and standardized 1,000+ servers, global LAN/WAN & remote access into consolidated centers. Customized the Tivoli suite (Netview, SSO, ADSM, Deploy/Config/Inventory Manager, Event Correlation, Application monitors, Remote Control, etc.) to automate management of 100,000 objects. Selected and implemented hardware lease management program and global maintenance agreements.

Responsible for overseeing global EA, IT Strategy and Technology Management, managing a $90M+ P&L, oversight/management of direct reports/manager staff of 13, and indirect IT staff of 200+, focusing on Emerging Technologies, Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy & Implementation, and, all the variant sub-domains aligning IT with Business drivers, e.g., SOA, Business, Data, AppDev & SW architectures, and, infrastructure/data center, EA frameworks, processes, and, methodologies. Directed a major global corporate EA-Maturity Model and EA Program, a Security Planning & Architecture initiative, involved in security standards both within HP and industry standards bodies, an EA-SOA Envisioning Strategy initiative, a “next gen” data center, application simplification/consolidation effort, and, an enterprise wide BI/Data Management architecture review, assessing “current state” architecture environments and creating a roadmap to a “future state”, involving several corporate business domains, overseeing the prioritized (“heat map”) IT Project Portfolio and PMO. Revived a legacy system replacement project that had been stalled for 2 years.  Successfully met business objectives and budget. Established and staffed a Project Management Office and established new governance structures for IT. Developed and implemented processes for tactical IT planning.
